Dr. Rojas was born and raised in Costa Rica. During his childhood he spent his vacation time at his uncle’s farm with cows, horses, chickens and dogs.
He attended the Universidad Nacional de Heredia, receiving his Doctor in Veterinary Medicine Diploma in 1993. He worked for Ralston Purina Company as a brand manager for Central America and during that time he obtained a Diploma in High Quality Management from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, as well as studies in Marketing and Business Administration. Dr. Rojas was actively working in support of Police K9 units and Search and Rescue groups in the region. He also bred and showed German Shepherds for 15 years.
In 2005, Dr. Rojas moved to Oakdale, California with his wife and three kids. After completing an intensive program to validate his Veterinarian degree in the United States, he obtained his DVM license and practice in California for over 10 years. In 2019 he obtained his North Carolina DVM license. He recently relocated his family (proud husband and father of 4) to Apex. He is excited to be a part of Dogwood Veterinary Hospital and share his knowledge and expertise as well as learn from his new team.
